5 marketing agents run from a weekly plan

A cron job in Claude Code wakes a marketing lead who reads the weekly plan and starts specialists for the current 3-hour block. The content agent publishes to Sanity. In the first week the social agent double-posted on Reddit.

What was done

On 25 May 2026 he writes in r/AskGTM that the marketing work is run by markdown files in Claude Code. The agents are a marketing lead, a content writer, a social media agent, a Hacker News agent and one that reviews results. Each lives as one file in .claude/agents/. When cron runs, the marketing lead reads the weekly plan, checks the current 3-hour block and starts the specialists. Content and social can run at the same time. They share tasks, files and a CSV. Each agent has a memory that stays for the next session. The content writer must write the text first, make an image, create a Sanity draft and then publish. A hard rule was added after the agent made empty drafts. Rules for UTM, the CSV, image shape and Slack sit in their own files. The weekly plan says what happens in each block. The agents are not to work ahead. He puts the total at about 15-20 files: 5 agent files, 1 CLAUDE.md, 6 rule files and 4 scripts. In the first week the social agent double-posted on Reddit because the rule against duplicates was not precise enough. He writes rules with examples.

How it went

The system is what he describes as the marketing work. He does not say which posts were published. The double post on Reddit happened in the first week.

Worth knowing

The company is not named. The post does not show the CSV or the weekly plan. That a reply stops working on X is not given as a number. Publishing to Sanity is in the flow, and the post does not say each post waits for a yes.

How to do it

  1. Write a weekly plan with what should happen in each block.
  2. Let the agent make the text and the image before anything is published.
  3. Read the rule against duplicates with an example. Publish yourself after you have said yes.

Try it with Claude Code

Read [weekly plan] and do only the task in the block for [time]. Write the text before you make an image or a draft in [publisher]. Do not publish and do not post on [channel] until I say yes.

Replace text in brackets with your own.

Done when. The draft has been read, and nothing has been published unless you have said yes.

Safety rule. The agent does not publish and does not post until you say yes.

  • The help text became a pull request

u/dizzygoldfish asked a Grok Bot to write help pages for uploading a csv file. The writing was bad. After the complaint the bot rewrote it and pushed a pull request. He spent a day on rules in a git repo.

  • Two phones comment, with no DMs

u/Petesneaknex let two agents run one Android phone each, one on X and one on Reddit. They comment. He has ruled out DMs and new follows.
