Rebooked for free after a delay, after a yes
Denis Shiryaev writes that Dot talked to Alaska, Delta and KLM when a delay put an Amsterdam connection at risk. After he approved, he was rebooked for free.

What was done
On 3 October 2026 Denis Shiryaev writes that his Alaska flight was delayed and put the Amsterdam connection at risk. Dot talked to Alaska, Delta and KLM at the same time on its own computer, found a new route, and got him rebooked for free after he approved. He was on the plane at the time.
How it went
He writes that the rebooking was free, and that it saved him a night in Seattle. The post does not state the new route.
Worth knowing
The rebooking happened after he approved. A free change at one airline is not a rule at another.
How to do it
- Give the agent the booking and say which connection is at risk.
- Ask it to propose a new route and say what it costs, before it asks the airline to change anything.
- Say yes or no. Read the new confirmation.
Try it with Dot
Flight [flight] is delayed and puts [connection] at risk. Propose a new route the same day. Say whether the change is free. Do not ask the airline to change the ticket until I say yes.
Replace text in brackets with your own.
Done when. You have said yes or no, and you have read the confirmation if anything was changed.
Safety rule. No rebooking until you have said yes to the route.
