What was done

On 9 February 2026 Andrew Jefferson writes that the day before, Claude filed overdue German VAT statements for Q3 2025. He used Claude Cowork and the Claude extension in Chrome. He started Cowork with a project folder. He put PDFs of invoices and receipts in it. He asked it to prepare the accounts for each quarter. Then he logged in to Elster. He asked it to find the forms, fill them out and submit them. He recorded the last part. Then he asked Claude to redact personal information in the video. He asked it to set the speed to 3x, so he could share the recording. The profile says Munich, Germany.

How it went

The post says the statements were submitted. It does not show the receipt from Elster. The video was redacted and set to 3x before he shared it.

Worth knowing

The post does not say he read every field before submission. It does not state the amounts in the statement. Check the original.

How to do it

  1. Put invoices and receipts in a folder, and ask for the figures for the quarter.
  2. Log in yourself. Ask it to fill in the fields and show them before anything is sent.
  3. Do not submit until you say yes. Redact personal details before a recording is shared.

Try it with Claude Cowork

Read the records in [folder] and prepare the VAT figures for [quarter]. Once I am logged in to [portal], fill in the fields and show them to me. Do not submit until I say yes. Redact personal details before anything is shared.

Replace text in brackets with your own.

Done when. The fields have been read, and the statement was not submitted before you said yes.

Safety rule. No submission until you have said yes. Personal details are redacted before sharing.
