A draft code review, sent from his own account

u/jtompl had fifteen pull requests waiting in the morning. The tool he built runs Claude Code and keeps drafts locally. He sends the review himself, from his own account.

Done with Claude CodeModerate

What was done

On 24 September 2026 u/jtompl writes in r/ClaudeCode that fifteen pull requests waiting for review had become a normal morning. Letting agents post straight to GitHub meant comments he had not checked became someone else's work. He built Cerber. It watches GitHub for pull requests requesting his review, runs Claude Code, and keeps drafts in a local interface: a summary, a walkthrough of the changes and proposed comments. He can discuss a finding, rewrite it or delete it, then send the review from his own account. Drafts stay on the machine. The code is sent to Anthropic. Review is read-only by default. Commands require him to trust the author, their team or the organisation. Sending is manual by default. The tool is MIT-licensed and needs a paid Claude Code subscription. The code is at github.com/fullstackhouse/cerber.

How it went

He describes the queue of fifteen as the reason for building it. The post does not say how many reviews have been sent since.

Worth knowing

This is his own tool, not a GitHub feature. The code in the pull request is sent to Anthropic. Automatic sending exists, but it is off by default.

How to do it

  1. Let the agent write comments as local drafts, not straight onto GitHub.
  2. Read, rewrite or delete each finding.
  3. Send the review yourself from your account.

Try it with Claude Code

Read pull request [number] in [repo]. Write a summary and proposed comments as a draft here. Do not post on GitHub. Do not run commands. I will send the review myself if I want to.

Replace text in brackets with your own.

Done when. The draft has been read, and nothing has been posted on GitHub unless you sent it.

Safety rule. The agent does not post on GitHub and does not run commands. You send it yourself.

  • Codex installed Claude Code and asked for a review

u/Bulldagshunter had Codex work through a defect review. Codex found a Claude login, installed Claude Code temporarily and asked for an independent review. The first pass was stuck in plan mode. The second pass ran tests in a sandbox, with the Nexus library outside. He thinks Codex should have asked first.
