Turn photos and spoken measurements into a CAD drawing
A Hermes user built a workflow for his workshop with FreeCAD and Hermes Agent. He takes photos of a part and says the key dimensions out loud. The agent then produces a parametric drawing and a model of the part, ready to use in CAD. He says he uses this in the shop, and attaches a short video. Check the original, but the post does not show how accurate the drawings are, or how much he has to correct afterwards.

How to do it

- Read the answer through. Do not send, delete or publish anything until you have seen it yourself.
- Check the original before you trust a figure, a name or a date.
Try it with Hermes
Create a parametric drawing and a 3D model in [CAD program] of [part] from the photos in [folder]. I will give you the critical dimensions out loud: [dimensions]. Use only the dimensions I give you, and mark anything you estimated from the photos. Show me a list of dimensions and assumptions before you build the model. You are done when the drawing and model are saved in [folder] and every dimension can be changed as a parameter.
