See which apps on your machine use the internet
A user asked Claude Code to show what on the laptop had an internet connection, read only. After two minutes it found 42 live connections from 9 apps, 24 background programs with no window and 7 apps that start themselves at login. Zoom had been running for five days after being opened once. He writes himself that there is no proof anything is listening, only apps he had forgotten.

How to do it
- Paste the prompt into the tool, and replace the text in brackets with your own.
- Read the answer through. Do not send, delete or publish anything until you have seen it yourself.
- Check the original before you trust a figure, a name or a date.
Try it with Claude Code
Show which programs on this machine have active network connections right now. Only read, and do not change or quit anything. Group by program, mark the ones running without a window, and list programs that start themselves at login. You are done when I have a table with program, number of connections and whether I should keep it, and I have decided myself what gets quit.
