Make a short ebook on a topic with Hermes
Matthias saves threads, posts and articles in Readwise Reader and reads them on a Boox Go 7 with e-ink. The Hermes agent on a Mac mini now makes an illustrated epub of about 20 minutes of reading on a topic he picks, from what he has saved and other sources.

What was done
Matthias saves threads, posts and articles in Readwise Reader and reads them on a Boox Go 7 with e-ink. The Hermes agent on a Mac mini now makes an illustrated epub of about 20 minutes of reading on a topic he picks, from what he has saved and other sources. For gaussian splatting it used the demos he had saved and the original research paper, with diagrams and links. He does not say whether the diagrams are always right.
How to do it
- Paste the prompt into the tool, and replace the text in brackets with your own.
- Read the answer through. Do not send, delete or publish anything until you have seen it yourself.
- Check the original before you trust a figure, a name or a date.
Try it with Hermes
Make a short ebook in epub on [topic] that takes about [number] minutes to read. Start with the articles I have saved in [Readwise or folder], and add [number] good sources, with a link next to every claim. Include simple diagrams where they help. Show me the table of contents and the source list before you write the book. You are done when the file is in [folder or e-reader] and every source is linked.
