Ask Manus to read a competitor's public pages

Give Manus a few public URLs and ask for a summary you can check. It should not sign in, and you open the pages yourself afterwards.

You set up a tool and check the result yourself.

How to do it

  1. 1

Pick one company and two or three public URLs, for example the front page and a page about what they offer. Do not ask the agent to sign in anywhere.

  2. 2

Ask it to take what the pages say: what they offer, who they say they are for, and how they describe price if the page says anything about it.

  3. 3

Ask for a short quote and a URL for each point, and a summary. What the pages do not say should stay a gap.

  4. 4

Open the same URLs and check that the quotes are there. Remove what you cannot find.

  5. 5

Use the summary internally. Do not publish it as a comparison without having read the pages yourself.

Example prompt

Example prompt

Visit only these public pages. Do not sign in, and do not follow further links unless I ask:

[Paste two or three URLs]

For each page: what the page says they offer, and one short quote with the URL. Then write a summary. If a page does not load, say so, and do not fill in what you think it says.
