Plan a weekly menu and a shopping list
Ask ChatGPT for a weekday menu and a shopping list grouped the way a shop is laid out. No prices, and with ingredients you can get in an ordinary grocery shop.
You can start in one conversation and check the result yourself.
How to do it
- 1
Say how many people are eating, whether anyone avoids an ingredient, and how many evenings you have the energy to cook.
- 2
Mention roughly how much time you have on a busy evening, and whether you shop in one store.
- 3
Ask for a menu from Monday to Friday, with one sentence on what the dish is, and a short method.
- 4
Ask for a shopping list grouped into vegetables, dairy, dry goods and meat or fish, and for ingredients to be used in more than one dinner where that is natural.
- 5
Swap out what the family does not like before you shop. Adjust the amounts yourself.
Example prompt
Example prompt
Plan dinners Monday to Friday for two adults and one six-year-old. We do not eat pork. On Tuesday and Thursday we have at most 30 minutes. Write in Norwegian Bokmål. For each day: the name of the dish and a short method. Then a shopping list grouped by shop aisle. Do not give prices. Use ordinary ingredients from a Norwegian grocery shop, and let vegetables return in more than one dinner.
